Summer Recipes Sinful Grilled Hazelnut Pears in a Pocket: Ingredients

6 pears
½ teaspoon of nutmeg
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
3 tablespoons traditional corn syrup
3 tablespoons of butter
½ cup of tightly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup of hazelnuts
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ginger
Butter Pecan Ice Cream

Summer Recipes Sinful Grilled Hazelnut Pears in a Pocket: Preparation

Combine all the ingredients (except pears and ice cream) into a metal sauce pan. Heat on the grill until bubbling.

Cut the six pears in half (leaving the peel on). Prepare six squares of aluminum big enough to completely wrap around each pear half.

Place pear half on the foil with the non-peeled side up. Fill with the sauce. Wrap the pear. Poke a few holes for steam. Place on the grill and cook for about fifteen minutes. Serve with a big scoop of butter pecan ice cream.
