Summer Recipes: Flaming Grilled Pineapple Wedges

You can really watch the fun with some summer recipes. Flaming grilled pineapple wedges are great to fix on the grill and watch everyone in their excitement when the flames are shooting off of the pineapple wedges.

One thing that you should note about this summer recipe is that once you put the wedges over the flame, get away from the grill. You can watch the pineapple wedges go up in flames but you don’t want to have them burn you or your friends. That would completely ruin all the fun of grilling.

Summer Recipes Flaming Grilled Pineapple Wedges: Ingredients

1 pineapple
½ cup of Worcestershire sauce
½ cup of honey
½ cup of vegetable margarine
½ cup of tightly packed dark brown sugar
½ cup of dark alcoholic rum (this will flame off of the pineapple wedges)

Summer Recipes Flaming Grilled Pineapple Wedges: Preparation

Cut the pineapple into large chunks or wedges removing the core and the peeling. In a metal sauce pan combine all the ingredients except the pineapple. Place on the grill and bring to a boil for about five minutes until the sauce thickens.

Spread the sauce over the pineapple chunks. Carefully place on the grill and stand back! The pineapple wedges should go up in flames for grill fun. Turn once. Cook for about two minutes until the pineapple chunks turn brown.
